Christina Martin hits the road again in Canada, accompanied by longtime lead guitarist and producer Dale Murray. “When we’re not touring, it feels like I’m cutting class and I’m plagued by nightmares of not making it to my gigs on time.” To help find new and unique spaces to perform in Canada, Martin made use of a new and exciting booking platform called Side Door. Co-founders Dan Mangan and Laura Simpson made the connection from west coast to east coast over a dream to make things better for touring artists and live music fans. “For artists like me that want to tour more, and are independently booking, this platform feels like a really fancy gift.”

“Impossible To Hold” won 2018 Music Nova Scotia Award Pop Recording of the Year, is Martin’s sixth and strongest studio album, achieving a perfect balance between organic ambience and impeccable production.  Her video Always Reminding, directed by Toronto filmmaker Ryan Thompson, garnered two 2019 East Coast Music Award Nominations, and Martin will be showcasing at this years ECMAs in Charlottetown May 1-5th.

For her upcoming Canadian tour — a 20+ date affair spanning Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec — Martin continues to partner with The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health to promote the work of Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, and to increase engagement and awareness on the topic of addiction and mental illness.
